Hans Wilgenburg,
Form (personal growth and architecture).

Architecture begins with the relationship between the architect and client, sharing personal experiences of favourite places and spaces; recalling the past to identify their qualities: toilet retreats, under the stairs at Grandma's, feeling like a king at the Grand Imperial Hotel, Jaipur. Such qualities are at the heart of design, fleshed out in the building.

Be it one-on-one or through team building, the individual's experience is central. I don’t seek to navel gaze but to clarify personal values underpinning family and culture.

I strive, in personal growth work and in design, for individuals to feel good and safe in their own skin – at home, at work and in public places.
