I am a contemporary visual artist exploring an alternative aesthetic to the traditional and Romantic landscape. I reconstruct fragments of nature to create landscapes that do not exist in reality.

My images evolve in a similar fashion to that of a painter, over long duration. The fragments are built and refined so a new whole emerges, disorienting the observer in a subtle way to reflect on their internal terrain.

The landscapes reflect the horizons within – an intimate sublime for a time when wilderness is perhaps uninhabitable.  Human portraits sometimes mingle in my exhibitions. 

They represent our internal gaze upon the landscape.  My work deeply connects to place and can be commissioned by people seeking deeper connections to the landscapes they inhabit.
